TVS launches Keyboard with Indian Rupee Symbol 


Bangalore: TVS Electronics has launched a new keyboard, the TVS Gold Bharat Keyboard, with the new Indian Rupee symbol on it. TVS-E has now become the first and only Indian company to incorporate the new Indian Rupee symbol on its keyboard, which is priced at Rs. 1,495.

The keyboard has the dimensions of 490(L) x180(W) x20(H) mm and supports USB and PS2 for connectivity. The long life mechanical switch supports up to 50 million keystrokes and is compatible with Windows and Linux. TVS claims that the keyboard is highly reliable as it has a 200,000 hours mean time between failures. The TVS Gold Bilingual keyboards support Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Assamese etc. 

S.S.Raman, Managing Director, TVS Electronics said on the launch of the keyboard, "We are proud to depict the Indian Rupee symbol in our keyboard and we are the first and only Indian manufacturer to do so. Nokia announces 5250 XpressMusic phone

 

Mumbai: Bangalore: Nokia has announced the launch of its latest touchscreen phone, the 5250 XpressMusic. The sample pictures of the new device were released on Nokia's Facebook page. 


The Nokia 5250 will run on Symbian^1 operating system and have free Guitar Hero 5 Mobile. It has a 2.8 inch TFT screen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 640x360 pixel resolutions. There is a 2MP camera loaded on the phone which comes in size of 104mm x 49mm x 14mm. The 5250 also packs in FM radio. 


The phone has an internal memory of 51MB that can be expanded up to 16GB using a microSD card. The device has a standby time of 18 days, 7 hours of talk time, 24 hours of nonstop music playback, claims Nokia.

You can download music from Ovi Music with the phone. The 5250 handset will come with Ovi Music Unlimited in select regions. There is the now ubiquitous access to social networks like Facebook and Ovi Mail, Gmail and Yahoo mail, as well as instant messenger accounts. One can add extra apps via Ovi Store. 

The Nokia 5250 is touted to be the next version of the existing Nokia 5233 XpressMusic and 5235 XpressMusic phones. The pricing and availability of the phone is not out. However, the phone should ship in quarter four this year in colors of Black, White, Purple and Blue.
